If bright lights and big cities aren't high on your list of requirements for your ideal winter getaway than a trip to the accessible only by helicopter Mount Assiniboine lodge should be on your short list of vacation spots.

Mount Assiniboine Lodge is located adjacent to Banff National Park in Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park, B.C.

The winter season at the lodge ranges from mid-February to early April. Guests head out to the surrounding peaks fro cross country ski touring and telemarking. The lodge runs introductory tours for beginners as well as advanced tours for more experienced guests.

Guests can stay in the main lodge, one-room log cabins, or 2 larger cabins that can accommodate three to five people each. Meals are served family style in the dining room of the main lodge.

Accommodation rates include lodging, ski-guiding services, and all meals. Rates range from $230 Cdn to $350 Cdn.
